The minimal Pila chair by Magis came to being when Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec set out to create a chair with the least amount of materials and hardware. The delicate legs are solid ash, and the seat and backrest are made of thin ash plywood. The slanted line of the front legs continues all the way to the beautiful backrest that curves around the sitter like a wide ribbon. Made of die-cast aluminium, the structure joining the legs to the seat is nearly invisible. Pila features an airy, stackable design that will stand the test of time and pairs well with any contemporary table.
